About Me
I am 18, a female, and i live in Ohio. (Unless you ask my wishful thinking. She keeps telling people i live in Ireland. *sheesh*!)
My true love and obsession is music, and i am in a local indie Celtic duo called Emerald Frequency. I sing, play acoustic guitar, electric guitar, fiddle, pennywhistle and bodhran.
I was homeschooled, but graduated a year early so i could focus on music. No, for the 100th time: i'm not going to college. :p

Hobbies
Music (all things: listening to it, playing it, creating it, etc.), reading, writing, going out to local pubs to hear Celtic music, etc. ;)

Aries (March 20 - April 20)
Your always abundant energy could be a little misdirected today and you may not have enough constructive outlets. Avoid becoming impatient with the people closest to you. Work on yourself if consumed by the need to tear down and rebuild. You can get a lot done today, so try channeling your impulses toward completing unfinished business. Or try cooking that special meal you've been meaning to create and invite a friend, or give the house a good cleaning and be proud in a job well done. If all else fails, go for a run or a long walk.

Emerald Frequency ~ The duo i'm half of. *ha* Indie Celtic, and though there's just two of us, we both play over five instruments (not including our voices), so it tends to sound like there's more than two people performing. Folks love it when we play out. In addition, every once in awhile, if you're lucky, we'll do a tune where i Irish dance. If you're in the Cleveland area, come see us. :)

Ani DiFranco ~ The best and coolest musician on Earth. Seriously, she inspires me on almost every way. She gets me through my hard days and makes the good days seem ever better. I don't know her personally, but you'd be surprised at how much she's taught me. I think every teenage girl should listen to her stuff, because Ani DiFranco got me through high school and almost all of the teenage years.

Brace Yourself Bridget ~ The coolest band in Cleveland, hands down. Celtic rock (that's a cross between Altan and U2). There's just not enough i can say about these guys. If not at Stamper's, try to check them out at one of the local Irish festivals. But they're a great lot of people: Jimmy, Rauri, Nikki, Pat, Marty, Michael, Adam and Jim.

The Saw Doctors ~ Right from Tuam, co. Galway (Ireland), these guys are cool and side-splittingly funny at the same time. "Like the Beatles of Western Ireland, only funnier." All hail, the kings of Celtic rock...

Solas ~ The best in trad. Irish music. (Although Altan and Lunasa and a few others are up there with them.) I listen to these guys daily. Séamus Egan is one of the best musicians in the world.

Loreena McKennitt ~ Former Shakespeare actress, Loreena has a voice that makes you believe she's part faerie. Her music is very magickal and spiritual and good to listen to when you just need to think.

Karan Casey ~ Karan Casey is the Allison Krauss of Irish music. Her voice is so beautiful, you can't help but be swept away. She's personally, my favorite Irish musician.

The Fenians ~ No longer California's best kept secret, fortunately. One of the best in Celtic rock. I've seen them twice. :) And you haven't lived 'til you've heard (and seen) Chris sing his rendition of "Danny Boy". They are the greatest. *big grin*

R.E.M. ~ One of the few bands from the 80s who are not only still around, but still kicking ass.

Righteous Babe Records ~ Ani DiFranco's record label and home to a lot of good musicians. (Including Ansdrew Bird, Hamel on Trial, Bitch and Animal and Arto Lindsay.)
